4 days, a car, 2 kids. Where can we go?

I am living in Sydney, Australia and have 4 days holiday over the Easter long weekend. Since my partner and I will be off work and need to relax, we are thinking about a trip. With two small children, flying is a nightmare. Where would be some places suitable to travel via car? :)

Where ever you go make sure you book first as Easter is peak holiday time. The central coast (The Entrance, Terrigal) or south coast (Kiama, Ulladulla, Bega) are both nice & not far from Sydney. A little further up the coast is Nambucca Heads, one of my favourite spots. All are great family destinations.

I reckon the Hunter Valley is good if you like wine and relaxing, not too far to travel either. And it doesn't matter what the weather is like.
Alternatively Nelson Bay is nice if you want the beach and sun kinda atmosphere, more hectic though.
